Sailorsaturn, somewhat ironically, is one of the most popular characters in the entire show, even though she is in it the least of any Senshi.

She is, by far, the darkest, most mysterious, and possibly the strongest of the Senshi (her more macabre personality and rather "goth" appearance is probably the largest factor in her popularity).

Although her form of Hotaru is a frail and weak one, as Sailorsaturn she is quite the opposite. Hotaru, a pale, thin, and frail young girl with a mysterious healing power, is, at one point, possessed and transformed into the evil villainess Mistress 9, the Dark Messiah. In the S series, even though it is meant to be about finding the Talismans and stopping the Silence, Hotaru is only in less than half the series, and Sailorsaturn only appears in about three episodes.

She does, however, make a comeback for some of the later episodes of the Stars series, to aid the Outer Senshi in their quest to defeat Galaxia and save the Earth.
