Cosplay, or costume play, is a very popular form of entertainment at anime conventions around the world. People dress as their favorite anime characters and do skits that are judged by a panel, and prizes are awarded for such things as best skit, best costume, best prop, etc.

I love looking at cosplayers, and the Mattousai and I are planning to cosplay as several characters (I'm bound and determined to cosplay as both ningen Kurama and Sailorneptune eventually - though before that the Mattousai and I are going to go as Auron and Lulu with his sister as Yuna and mine as Rikku...).

Most of these cosplay photos were taken from A Fan's View's website - the place to go for cosplay photos. The only bad things about AFV are the bad quality of some photos, as well as the fact that they are not split into categories of series - just randomly placed in the day that they appeared at a convention (plus they can be pretty tough to find...). I went through a lot of their files and found some of the best Sailormoon cosplay photos. I have retouched and reduced the size of these images - for full-sized original versions, you must go to AFV's site.
