On this page you will see a very, very rare thing indeed. You will bear witness to my banner-making skills as they evolved over the years - and, yes, someone else originally made my very first banner!

I shouldn't have to say this but... Please do not link this site with any of the following banners! They were created for the site a long time ago, and it has obviously gone through a lot of changes since, not the least of which is a name change. So please bear in mind that these are here for comparison purposes only.

Banner #1 - StarFireBanner.jpg
The very first banner ever made for the site was created for me by Sailor Silence... It was one of those "Here are some blank banners - if you don't know how to do it yourself, ask me and I'll put your text on."

Banner #2 - StarFireBannerBlue.jpg
OK, well, when it comes to picture editing, I suppose everyone has to start somewhere... This rather pathetic attempt a image manipulation was - hard to tell I know - simply me inverting the colors on Sailor Silence's banner... (By the way, folks, simply changing the colors of something does not make it your own work, just to be clear here. Of course this was before I knew anything at all about how things worked on the web...)

Banner #3 - StarFireSMoonBanner2.jpg
I was damn proud of this banner, and you wouldn't believe how many compliments I got on it when I first put it as my e-mail signature... This was, in actuality, my first "real" banner - that I myself created. Sure, it still sucks, but as I'm sure most of you know, it's really hard to do anything worthwhile in Microsoft Paint...

Banner #4 - SSFUranus.jpg
This was the first banner I made after I found out who Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune were - and after I completely fell in love with Ogata-sama (Uranus' seiyuu). I've always thought Sailoruranus was just really cool... Anyway, I digress. This one wasn't too bad, I suppose - the picture is really blurred, but at least you can read everything on this one - very important in a banner.

Banner #5 - SSFKakyuu.jpg
I still like this one. OK, yes, so it uses a lens flare, but used in moderation, lens flares can actually be quite useful... It's a simple banner - I made it with a picture from a cel I think, and I just fudged the background so it blended in...
(That's one thing I can't stand about so-called "graphics" or "banners" - pictures on one side and then a solid background that just cuts off because the person either didn't know how (or was to lazy) to cut out the pic or finish off the background... Especially annoying in wallpapers. Again, I digress.)
It is from this point that my work begins to take a noticeable uphill climb...

Banner #6 - SSFUranus2.jpg
And now we're into actual passable grahics editing. Again, this was pretty simple, and yes, again it contains the ever-popular lens flare. ::shrug:: I had this one as my e-mail signature for a long time... Features Sailoruranus.

Banner #7 - SSFEyes
I'm still really proud of this one. I love the antique-y marble look to it. I made this banner like two weeks before I finally got fed up with my old site and decided to change the name and start fresh. This one was my e-mail sig until I made the new site. One day when I'm not feeling quite so lazy I might go in and remake this one for FMOCT... Features, yeah, you guessed it - Tenoh Haruka.
